Custom Water Jugs
We got the idea for this jug at our owner's daughter's wedding supper. The fake chinet bowls at the supper had a unique pattern on them. We saved a piece of a bowl and worked it over to make a leather pattern out of this. Near as We know this is a unique pattern exclusively D/J Saddlery's. The only problem with the pattern is it is very detailed and takes quite a bit of time to tool. Consequently it costs a bit more than some of the patterns I could tool for you. ($150.00)
We have basket stamped some of these jugs. We have tooled a horse head on others. We have scribed initials and brands on others. Your imagination and the size of the jugs are the only limitations here. The jugs are made from a nice wool blanket covered canteen and covered with the finest tooling leather available. Every one that rides could use one of these jugs. This could be the unique gift for the horse lover in your life for just $75.00. We also make soft leather covered canteens starting at $65.00.
